Once you log into your BetterBugs.io account and open a project, you get the "Search your sessions…." box to search through the logged bug reports or sessions.

For filtering out reports, you’ll find a “Filters” button under the search box with various filter value options.

Here’s a table summarizing the available filters:

Filter Name
Description
Available Values

Priority

Filter reports based on assigned priority levels.

By default, every report you create gets marked with a “Medium” priority level which you can change while adding details to it.

Urgent, High, Medium, Low

Status

Filter sessions for the reports based on status.

The session gets auto-marked as "Open" when you capture a screenshot/video. This can be later updated to In Progress or Closed after the session is uploaded to your BetterBugs.io account. Then, you can filter the results based on status.

Open, In Progress, Closed

Creator

Filter sessions for the reports based on the person who created them.

How to Use Session Filters

Using session filters is straightforward:

1

Open Project

Open a project from your BetterBugs.io workspace

2

Click the "Filters" Button

Click the “Filters” button under the “Search your session…” box

3

Select Your Filter(s)

Select your filter(s) and add the desired values for each. For instance, let's set the “Priority” to “Medium” and “Status” to “Open”.

You’re good to go.

This gives you all the reports that match these two selections together. Your filters be visible beside the “Filters” button with the desired selection. For the given example, you’ll see the “Priority Is Medium” and “Status Is Open” getting displayed.

You can also toggle the “Is” to “Is Not” to tweak the logical combination for filtering the reports. To toggle it, just press the “Is” (and vice versa) text sitting between the filter name and value.

Clear Filters

To remove all filters for sessions, you have the “Clear all” option on the right-hand side.

Adding Multiple Values for a Specific Filter

You can also add one or more values for a specific filter allowing you to fine-tune your filters required. For instance, you can select one or more “Priority” (or any other filter) levels for your reports.

Here's how it works:

1

Click on the Filter Value

Click on the already assigned value for a filter

2

Add Other Values

Select another value that you want the filter to use

For the example shown above
