# Session filters

Once you log into your BetterBugs.io account and open a project, you get the "**Search your sessions….**" box to search through the logged bug reports or sessions.

For filtering out reports, you’ll find a “**Filters**” button under the search box with various filter value options.&#x20;

### How to use session filters

Using session filters is straightforward:

<figure><img src="https://3235868439-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FBzBhuIUDDav7ztnadaoO%2Fuploads%2FcM6HY6SQsUCZyBK3pqd0%2F02-Steps%20for%20using%20session%20filters%20NEW.gif?alt=media&#x26;token=56e44c4d-3770-4fb4-ae7b-bd2bb1891647" alt=""><figcaption><p>Steps for Using Session Filters</p></figcaption></figure>

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open project

Open a project from your BetterBugs.io workspace.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click the "Filters" button

Click the “**Filters**” button under the “**Search your session…**” box.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Select your filter(s)

Select your filter(s) and add the desired values for each. For instance, let's set the “**Priority**” to “**Medium**” and “**Status**” to “**Open**”.

You’re good to go.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

This gives you all the reports that match these two selections together. Your filters be visible beside the “**Filters**” button with the desired selection. For the given example, you’ll see the “**Priority Is Medium**” and “**Status Is Open**” getting displayed.

{% hint style="info" %}
You can also toggle the “**Is**” to “**Is Not**” to tweak the logical combination for filtering the reports. To toggle it, just press the “**Is**” (*and vice versa*) text sitting between the filter name and value.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

### Adding multiple values for a specific filter

You can also add one or more values for a specific filter, allowing you to fine-tune your filters required. For instance, you can select one or more “**Priority**” (or any other filter) levels for your reports. &#x20;

Here's how it works:

<figure><img src="https://3235868439-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FBzBhuIUDDav7ztnadaoO%2Fuploads%2F4jS1vRA39ZflTqwQHeFQ%2F05-Steps%20for%20adding%20multiplev%20alues%20for%20the%20same%20filter%20NEW.gif?alt=media&#x26;token=af638386-63c9-4c03-ac0d-9527921ecdb8" alt=""><figcaption><p>Steps for Adding Multiple Values for the Same Filter</p></figcaption></figure>

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Click on the filter value

Click on the already assigned value for a filter.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Add other values

Select another value that you want the filter to use.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

For the example shown above

1. Click “**Priority**” and select “**Medium**”.
2. Again, for “**Priority**”, select the “**High**” option.&#x20;

Here’s how it looks: **Priority Is Medium, High**
