Now, you can integrate BetterBugs with Basecamp to share complete bug reports directly to your Basecamp project. Every Basecamp card you create with BetterBugs comes bundled with comprehensive details about the issue, including the bug title, a link to the complete bug report, steps to reproduce the issue, reporter details, device details, and more.
Using BetterBugs, you can share visual and technically sound bug reports to your Basecamp’s chat or card table within your project. You do not have to switch tools to add bug reports to Basecamp. Once you integrate, all it takes is a few clicks to share bug reports right from your browser directly to your Basecamp project. This makes the bug reporting process up to 10X faster and significantly easier.
Using the report link in the Basecamp task, developers can then access the report with complete context and they need (visual proof, console logs, network requests, environment info, steps to reproduce, and more) for debugging.
Here's how to integrate:
A new tab with the created Basecamp task opens up, creating the Task for the selected Basecamp project. The task includes visual proof of the issue, description, issue repro steps, devtools details, and a link to the complete bug report. You can access the report on the BetterBugs dashboard by clicking the links in the Basecamp task.
You’re all set with the integration. Now, whenever you create a report, you can instantly send it to the connected Basecamp project straight from your browser.
To check if the integration worked correctly and the report was shared with your Basecamp project,
Open the report that you just shared (using the Issue report link from the Basecamp task or your BetterBugs project).
Click on the tab at the bottom right to check for a successful task creation message or any other activity on it. Make sure to enable the “Activities” with the toggle switch.
You’re good to go.
A new tab with the created Basecamp task opens up, adding the task to the Basecamp project board with all the issue details and a link to the complete bug report with .
