BetterBugs integration with ClickUp

With BetterBugs, sharing software issues on ClickUp has never been easier. You can integrate BetterBugs and ClickUp and say bye-bye to tedious bug-reporting sessions while you manage your projects with ClickUp.

Steps to integrate BetterBugs with ClickUp

Install extension

Install the extension and pin it to the browser for quick access.

Capture the bug

Take a screenshot, record a video, or hit Rewind (if it's already enabled for the website).

Enter bug details

Add a title* (Required) and other bug details about the bug.

Connect with ClickUp

Open the "Send to your tools" dropdown from the top right corner of the screen. Click "Connect ClickUp" to authorize BetterBugs for ClickUp and click "Connect Workspace".

Choose the BetterBugs workspace and project to connect

Below the "Send to your tools" dropdown, select the BetterBugs Workspace and Project to connect with ClickUp.

  • Dropdown 1: User's Workspace (default: BetterBugs Workspace Name)

  • Dropdown 2: User's Project (default: BetterBugs Project Name)

NOTE: The integration will happen to the specific project you selected within BetterBugs. This means that if you have multiple projects, you'll need to set up separate integrations for each one. You can also integrate your entire workspace with the tool.

Enter details for ClickUp

Click again on the "Send to your tools" dropdown. Hit "ClickUp task".

This fetches the report template for "Your ClickUp task info". Add details like Workspace, Space, Folder, List, etc.

Send report

Hit the "Upload Bug Details" button.

A new tab with the created ClickUp task opens up posting the Task to the ClickUp workspace containing all the details and a link to the complete bug report with developer tools info is included in the task. You can access the complete bug report on the BetterBugs Dashboard with all the information.

You have successfully integrated ClickUp with BetterBugs.

To check if the integration worked correctly and the report was shared with your ClickUp project,

  1. Open the report that you just shared (using the Issue report link from the ClickUp task or your BetterBugs project).

  2. Click on the Comments/Activities tab at the bottom right to check for a successful task creation message or any other activity on it. Make sure to enable the “Activities” with the toggle switch.

Steps to send an existing report to ClickUp

Login

Log in to your BetterBugs account.

Select project and open report

Select the project (within BetterBugs) that’s integrated with ClickUp. Open the report you want to share.

Enter details for ClickUp task

Click "Send to your tools" from the top menu and select "ClickUp task" from the "Select" dropdown. This fetches the report template for "Your ClickUp task info". Add details like Workspace, Space, Folder, List, etc.

NOTE: You can also update any details already available in the bug report.

Send to ClickUp

Hit the "Create Task" button.

There you have it. A new tab with the created ClickUp task opens up posting the task to the selected ClickUp Workspace containing all the details and a link to the complete bug report with developer tools info.
